Together, We Donated 278 Pounds of Food to the Pella Community Food Shelf!

One pound became two. One bag became two. And together, our community made a difference.

When we kicked off the Ford Building Together Food Drive in September, we invited our customers and the Pella community to help support our neighbors. We promised to match every pound of food donated with another pound from Ulrich Ford Lincoln.

You showed up, and we followed through.

Our great customers and community members contributed 139 pounds of food. Ulrich Ford Lincoln matched that generosity with another 139 pounds, bringing the final donation to:

278 pounds of food. 279 total items. All donated to the Pella Community Food Shelf.

Pella has been home to Ulrich Ford Lincoln since 1935. For more than 90 years, this community has supported our family and our business, and we are thankful for opportunities to give back.

The Building Together Food Drive gave us a simple way to work alongside our neighbors toward a shared goal. Every pound you contributed went twice as far through our match.

The result is something we can all be proud of.

We also want to thank the Pella Community Food Shelf for the work they do to support our neighbors and connect donated food with those who need it.

Our September collection has ended, but the need for food continues.

We encourage everyone to consider making a donation directly to the Pella Community Food Shelf. They are currently low on soups and cereal, making those especially helpful choices if you are looking for something to contribute.

The next time you are grocery shopping, consider adding an extra can of soup or a box of cereal to your cart. A small addition to your shopping trip can make a difference for someone else.
